Ek reageer op Evo Lusi, Groot Karoo, se kommentaar (DB, 15.06.2009) op my brief, "Dalk misleidende evolusie-aanspraak" (DB, 13.06.2009).
Evo Lusi sê : "Dis anti-evolusie fundamentaliste soos dr.
In sy boek, The God Delusion, sê evolusionis en selfverklaarde ateïs, Richard Dawkins, "Fundamentalist Christians are passionately opposed to evolution and I am passionately in favour of it. Passion for passion we are evenly matched...that...means we are equally fundamentalist."
Dawkins help hiermee wanneer hy sy posisie as evolusionis stel : "I am attacking God..." Dawkins sê duidelik : "...I am talking only about...Yahweh, the God of the Old Testament", en vervolg dan uitdruklik : "The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction : jealous and proud of it ; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak ; a bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser, a homophobic, racist, genocidal, pestilential, sadomasochistic, malevolent bully."
Hy sê : "... any creative intelligence, of sufficient complexity to design anything, comes into existence only as the end product of...evolution."
Evo Lusi, die spreekwoord : "Wys my wie jou vriende is", geld ons beide. Ons het duidelik verskillende vriende.
